Setting fix for, so that the issue appears on the road map.
I'm not sure if we want to have it for 2.1.1 – that's why I didn't mark the fix for version... but ok.
I've been on this for the past 4 hours. No luck. It seems that JDIC does not receive messages from the native component (IeEmbed.exe) when run by Java Web Start. This must be JWS-related because everything works just fine when the program is executed from command line.
I suggest a "Won't fix" on this issue, at least until the next release of JDIC... +1, at some point we'll shift to RCP anyway.
Also see these threads:
https://jdic.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=jdic&msgNo=4955 and this one: A temporary workaround is to either disable UAC or run javaws in administrator mode... This issue is related to UAC (User Access Control) in Windows Vista. Disable UAC, run in Administrator mode or download and execute the browser application locally.
